BAD LOVIN' April 6th

More frightening then the fact that some of us are 15-20 years old and considering marriage, is a little thing called A BAD RELATIONSHIP. Bad relationships are not just relationships with a glitch in the communication system, but maybe one with infatuation or violence?

Fatal Attraction is a ridiculous movie. All men take caution while watching. haha. Thought Glenn Close was scary in the 101 Dalmatians, dig deeper into the years of GREAT movies. 

Some traits of a CRAZY partner:

creepy, posessive, love of knives, jealousy, rude!

The dark side gets even darker with threats of death or injury. Even if your partner threatens to leave you for a ridiculous reason, thats CRAZY, and RUN!

Economist, Robert Frank studied social life. He said all social life is based on promises, threats, and bargaining. Social Life is just like a game. So smile, have fun, PLAY FAIR, and remember: it's not always about WINNING and you don't have to be in first place to win! <3

a GREAT HOPE..

The spreading of Nuclear knowledge is a danger to mankind.

I think war is stupid but inevitably due to human nature. Everyone has a point where they get greedy or want to be the best of the best. Think if you, as a student, had a secret code to change your grade, YOU know that 85 % of kids here would go for it. That is all sad to me. Any "world" situation can be broken down into a social situation. Very similar things. Both have easy solutions related to communication, responsibility, and alliances. Just the thought of Nuclear weapons scares me. I wish there was a way to get rid of all the crazy weapons, but there isn't. Maybe if we are nice and continue to give out "free ipods", we'll make it. 

SHOOT FIRST?!

Western democracies were supposed to defend the individual against the power of the state. Demo. governments place strict limits on the use of force by agents. The investigations these people must be put through after harming a citizen is OUTRAGEOUS. IT SHOULD BE!! I think if ONE man is running from the cops, 2-3 cops should stop him. If the man is bigger than maybe more force will be needed, but punching and kicking is ridiculous, especially if the culprit is NOT resisting anymore. 

MEAN PIGS. 

but at the same time, cops aren't out to get us all. They mess up too and probably do the same shit we do. It's just their job to protect and serve. plllssssb.

I love the way monuments are both patriotic, frightening, and heartwarming. 

Unknown Soldier: I've seen this and it was one of the most moving experiences of my life. I'm not a fan of war but that doesnt mean that i dont respect the men that risked or lost their lives in any of the wars. 

AL GORE? PUHHH

Al Gore believes that global warming is a moral issue. Al Gore seems to be a very passionate person. I'm not sure whether he is just whacked or if he is really nice? He seems to not care whether you like him or not, he just wants you to be kind to the planet. I bet Al Gore LOVES The Grateful Dead. :-D He makes a nice connection to the Chinese word for Crisis. Explaining that it means danger as well as opportunity really pulled at my heart strings a bit. More and more species are becoming endangered, or will shortly if no one steps up to help fight global warming. He makes great points that procrastination will always be the thief of time. I think that was an awesome point. 

DNA TEST GIVES STUDENT ETHNIC SHOCKS!

I know that I would be extremely interested to know my entire makeup. I know that my grandfather was adopted and I've always wanted to know the exact ethnicity of his blood parents.I think it's wrong for people who are "mixed" to be discriminated against by someone who is "100%" of the race. I think it's an awesome idea for kids to learn about the complexity of race and ethnicity because the ideas will show them that it's okay to not be JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. It's almost better to be different, in your own way of course. Also, the results could also help pinpoint people so they can stop denying who they really are. These concrete tests are accurate and a great idea!

YOUR GAMETE, MYSELF - Jan 26

Selecting an egg donor must be one of the most exciting things ever! Although, that vital decision must be a stressful one as well. I can't imagine having to cycle through a dozen or more pictures of women, with the thought of taking their eggs to make a child. What if your baby looks absolutely nothing like you and everything like the other person? What if when your child grows up they are walking down a busy street and notice someone walking by to look JUST like them? Will they turn around and question eachother? WOW! What an intense idea. It's horrible that many women in the world are either unable to have children or their relationship permits them from having one. I know that if a friend of mine would need an egg, I would definitely donate.
